Pioneer Connections
The University of Denver’s Student, Alumni and Friends
Mentoring Program
pi-o-neer [pahy-uh-neer] (noun): 1. One who goes before, preparing the
way for others to follow.
The Pioneer Connections program is designed to match an alumna/us or friend of the university with a current student in a mutually beneficial, career-based mentoring relationship. In Pioneer Connections, mentors are experienced alumni and friends of the university who share their expertise with student protégés to help them cultivate their educational experience, develop their understanding of a career path and serve as role models for students. The student will be either in their junior or senior year, and can have any academic major. The official relationship will last for the duration of one academic year.
The relationship between mentor and protégé can be exceptionally rewarding. We hope you will get involved!
The application process for the 2007 program has ended. Please check back in July 2007 for information on the 2007-2008 academic year program. Thank you.
