The DU Women's Professional Alliance is a collaboration between the Colorado Women's College and Alumni Career & Professional Development. We invite you to join us for our monthly series exploring unique career issues facing women.
The National Committee on Pay Equity reported in September, 2016 that women now make 79.6 cents for every dollar that men earn. While the gap is closing, it is doing so slowly. Join the DU Women's Professional Alliance on Tuesday, April 4 at 6:30 to learn:
• Facts around the pay gap, the concept of the earnings gap and the differences between the two
• Current local, state and federal policy that will impact the earnings gap and the status of women in the workplace
• Negotiating skills that will help you close the gap, not just around pay, but around time off, flexible scheduling and additional responsibility
Speakers for this event include Dr. Nancy Reichman, Professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminology and Cindy Hyman, Director of Alumni Career & Professional Development.
Cost: $15 includes a light dinner; $10 for alums who graduated in 2013 or after and graduate students
