DU Women's Professional Alliance Presents: Work Life Balance

The DU Women's Professional Alliance is a collaboration between the Colorado Women's College and Alumni Career & Professional Development. We invite you to join us for our monthly series exploring unique career issues facing women.

In 2015, women owned more than 9.1 million businesses in the United States, employing 7.9 million people and generating $1.4 trillion in sales. Business ownership and leadership pose unique challenges and benefits for women. Join us on June 6 to hear from a panel of successful women business owners including:

Nicole Mattson (BSBA '03, MBA '12), Owner, Nocturne
Julie Perington (BSBA '05), Owner, jlounge Natural Nail Bar & Spa
Aileen Reilly (BSBA '06), General Manager & Proprietor, Beast & Bottle
Abby Sparks (MBA '12), Owner, Abby Sparks Jewelry
Elisa Whaler (Parent '17), CEO, Bray Whaler International

Stephanie Gerringer (BSBA '95), CEO of Preferred Lending Partners, and Marcia Johnston-Walden, Senior Credit Analyst of Colorado Enterprise Fund, will also discuss small business lending options available to women.

You will learn:

• How to overcome common barriers
• How to take advantage of  benefits available to women

Cost: $15 includes a light dinner; $10 for alums who graduated in 2013 or after and graduate students
